I think you misunderstood, though the comment is OK now. Firing squad was not the problem, nor family members. This is highly likely to be understood (and/or maliciously spun) as a call to extralegal violence, regardless of how you intended it.
This should be OK (obviously, I can't guarantee): After they are found guilty during a fair trial, the family members of those who were murdered because of 'coercive control' should be able to make part of the firing squad.

So I give you some advice with good intents based on my own experience and the 3 years or so that I have worked with DoM. At least do what you do while being aware of the risks, instead of being stubborn and telling me that I'm wrong.
