I'm surprised people are giving it a chance after GOT turned into the Mount Doom of dumpster fires.
There is not a lot to see. She-hulk, ROP, RE adaptation all trash. At the end of the day it has name recognition and the bar for quality is low.
Is left over comfort food.
Current year entertainment is a barren wasteland, but there's an all-you-eat buffet of great older shows and movies.
That's why I bought DVDs of the original Star Trek show, since I grew up watching TNG and DS9, but had never seen the original. I cancelled cable years ago and don't even pay for any of the degenerate trash streaming services. TOS has some fantastic episodes, and some really cringe ones, but overall it was charming and pretty great, especially considering how cheap the budget was. It was also interesting to see the differences in viewpoints back then, which ocassionally made it hilarious.
For instance, in one episode Kirk and a few others are abducted and forced to fight in a gladiatorial arena for the amusement of some powerful aliens. Kirk's gladiator mentor, of course, was a hot alien chick. He ends up seducing her, and mere seconds after kissing her, punches her in the face and knocks her out, so he can escape. You would never, ever, see that in TV nowadays.
Now stop and realize that TOS was a very progressive show. Pilot had a woman 1st officer, show had a black woman officer, Japanese pilot 20 yrs after WW2 kamikaze was a thing, Russian weapons officer in the height of the Cold War, mixed-race human/alien 1st officer, anti-racism messages, 1st interracial kiss on TV.
Friends was an even more progressive show in its day, now it's accused of being everything-phobic.
Everyone's like Beavis and Butt-Head. Everything on TV sucks, but they'll still keep watching it.
Yellowstone is a flawed show, but it's a cut above Netflix.
Lol.. I prefer this goyslop!
Lol you have no idea what you're talking about. Most of the problems with Yellowstone trace back to its masculinity.
I finally tried watching 1883 but gave up once it became obvious that it was heavily focused on the blonde cunts romances. Maybe it gets better but I don't care to find out.
I tried to watch Yellowstone but gave up after a couple of episodes because everyone was an asshole.
Is it that hard to just not watch any TV then
I've heard a few anti-woke people say it's good. Haven't tried watching it yet though.
