The reason why is that 2007 photo actually PROPERLY represents what a standard dev team looks like. It's mostly white male nerds. You will have one or two women who made it, and for the Ubisoft crew, they had the one woman who was actually attractive (and taken) and the homely looking Asian girl on the left. You also have that one smart-aleck mandatory black dude that graduated from an Ivy League school who somehow dug his way out of a shitty family situation to land the job.

The 2007 photo properly represents how the actual industry was distributed. Now it's like the 2014 photo, but a majority of them are shit low level coders, marketing, "community managers", HR, and "artists".
