lol what I think actually happened:
seven seas, a los angeles based localization company, mistranslated the work on purpose for woke points
the fans got mad
the licensor got complaints, and chewed out seven seas
seven seas had to put its tail between its legs because the licensors are the life blood of any localization company. if it burns them, it will go out of business.
I mean, that's rich coming from the people that respect neither, the original creator and their customers.
