Not only is it opinion, it doesn't make any sense unless you accept the framework that gender identity exists and that someone's mental state is somehow more "correct" than the physical reality everyone can see. An adult needs to rationalize this degeneracy with several layers of bullshit ("the latest academic research tells us there are 37 genders!") but to a child it's religious dogma they absorb without question. As they get older their teachers will encourage peer-pressure or bullying to keep them from asking too many questions.
The whole "queer theory" nonsense centers on the warped (and failed) experiments of a vile pedophile "sexologist" named John Money.
The only reason it hasnt collapsed already is because the scientific community is formed of spineless nerds who are too afraid to poke their heads out of their labcoats and speak up for objective reality.
Queer theory goes back further than Money, who was merely working through the praxis. Simone de Beauvoir's 1949 work The Second Sex lays a lot of the foundation for modern rhetoric, such as, "One is not born, but rather becomes, a woman." Tangentially, she also crafted the narrative that a fetus is a parasite and pregnancy is an act of violence forced upon women by men. Like many of the French post-modernists, she also signed the 1977 petition against the age consent.
Going back even further, the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft in Weimar Germany was doing tranny kid stuff decades before Beauvoir's book, although the Nazis burning it all was a bit of a set back in the history of Progress™. This seems to be a recurring trend for civilizations in their age of decadence, which is the last step before collapse. In ancient Rome, there was the cult of Magna Mater. Men would chop their junk off then wander the city dressed as women in wigs and makeup begging for money.

Totally agree. It's interesting because I'm an atheist (not by choice, I wish I could be a believing Christian but I feel the evidence disproves it)....but I've always maintained that our society and culture must maintain its Christianity, or at least the facade of such, as a preventative measure to avoid the unpredictably disastrous results of moral relativism, which we are now seeing, and which is a DIRECT result of the decentering and decline of western Christianity with nothing but a void to replace it.
You even had a period of about 20 years (2000-2020) where the moral relativism which filled the void of Christianity resulted in a sort of "secular Christian morality" which prominent atheists falsely claimed had no connection to Christianity, but turns out it was extremely important as a residual effect. But as soon as a new cult (identity politics) was able to fill the void, it did. Human culture is basically incapable at this point of living without a "religion" to give us purpose and moral guidance.
Here's a good question for the woke. Why can a person be transgender, but not be transracial? If someone's gender identity doesn't have to match their genitalia, why do they assume a person's racial identity must match their skin?
