You greedy cocksuckers! It's the same fucking thing that happened to cable TV. "We are in the Pay TV era! Watch TV commercial-free with one monthly subscription!"
Fuck you!
This is just a way for them to remain afloat after everyone cancels because of their woke horseshit.
I don't think they can remain afloat. Their business model necessitates continued growth to pay off existing debts. Treading water is the same as drowning.
I'm not the only person who lives here, we have a tv junkie amongst us. I've been threatening to toss that squawkbox off the balcony for years. It's my dream to hurl that thing over the railing onto the hard cold pavement below.
I already dropped them in 2020 I think it was. In the 7 or so years since I got rid of traditional pay-TV advertising has become a no-go for me. If I'm paying for a service, I don't want my time held hostage for ads. I'll make a few exceptions but not recorded material. Ad supported or my money supported, not both.
Netflix has been on a downhill trajectory ever since the major studios figured out that they can do TV 2.0 with their own streaming services and take all of their stuff off of Netflix.
All that's left is far-left propaganda in the guise of "documentaries" and bread-and-circuses lowbrow "entertainment" in the form of "reality" TV and yet another drama consisting of good-looking people whispering in dark rooms. Why pay for that?
it's amusing to see the once innovative service that broken the cable TV business model now revert to the same shit that made people leave cable in the first place
Alternatively:
Netflix will go bankrupt in "next year or two".
Forget partisan bs. If you're subbed to a service that thinks it can show ads, dump that service.
Did he stutter? Dump. That. Service.

They'll go through a debt restructuring and change to a free model like some of the other streaming TV services out there.
Hope you're right.
We've had netflix for years, I've never watched it :/ Neither one of my kids even has a tv. Ads or no ads tv is a dying medium.
maybe stop giving money to pedos?

I don't want to tell you your business, but it's much cheaper to pay for a VPN and watch streams online for free.
Teach him how to pirate. All of the content, as soon as it is released, you can store it locally and share with your friends over Plex.
Yes, lose more subscribers
This will piss off customers unless they go free, and it will still piss off customers if the ads are invasive.
