Mass riots in Sweden after a politician protesting the islamification of Europe burned a koran. Local Media blames the politician instead of the rioters. (twitter.com)

I never understood what the goal of burning a Koran is other than to make people angry. I have no respect for the Koran, believe it has deceived billions of people over the centuries, but I don't think there is any purpose to burning one outside of trying to upset a lot of people.

The entire purpose of burning it was to prove a point that the muslims proved. Sweden has no freedom of speech when those who threaten to use violence over your speech have all the power.

Did anyone not know this already? Those in denial won't let truth get in the way of their beliefs, so all actions like this do is unnecessarily put the guy burning the book in the line of fire.

There are stands a good man must take that will cost him greatly, but these sort of actions always seem like picking the wrong battle.

I think you underestimate your own knowledge of the subject and overestimate everyone else's. Many people are still in denial about the truth.

I think many are scared, while many others just love evil and hate truth.

Still you are right, even at my church my mind is blown by the ignorance of people. However, I see others that are just in denial because facing certain truths would make their life less pleasant; I don't get invited to movies, probably because I have talked about things like how pozzed anything Disney is, more than one time in response to various friends' girlfriends questions on if I had seen some latest Marvel show on Disney+. Though I get invited to other stuff, so I'm not going to complain about not getting pressured into wasting $20.

The plan was to prove that Muslims don't belong into civilized societies, that they literally ruin Europe and that police has lost all control.

Edit: bonus points for further exposing the media in Europe as they try to obfuscate who is responsible for the violence and try to frame the right for it.

The goal is precisely to bring out the savage behavior for all to see. If some book being burned causes you to fly off the handle, the answer is to keep doing it until you either fuck off or learn to live with it.

Your lack of understanding here equates to proposing that the West should cower to them.

They should stand up where it matters, like taking the law into their own hands when rapes and murders happen.

Excellent suggestion, I agree.

It's a red pill to normies, a warning of what kind of people the mass immigration they normally vote for. The purpose is simple, once these normies wake up, they'll realize there's a problem in society, and that they have to think before they go and vote for "the usual".

Maybe if they burned other books alongside the Koran -- perhaps also a Bible, a Book of Mormon, and a Torah -- it would be a more thorough social experiment that shows which groups are broken.

Burn a Bible or a book a Book of Mormon and nothing happens, we already know that. Burn a Torah, and you'll end up spending 6 years in prison for "hate crime". People with small hats will not riot against society, but they will send all their lawyers and minions after you.

The Book Of Mormon already has a world-famous musical play that involves defacing and blaspheming the Book of Mormon.

"Natural experiments" exist, where the experimental conditions already exist in nature, and only need to be observed. We don't need to set up a double-blind, because people, individually but in large numbers, perform all those actions every day.

I recall one woman got kicked out of France for having an "Allah is gay" sign that was made to be identical to a "God is gay" sign that was at a preceding rally. So 1:1 experiments do exist, but you need not find them when evidence is so plentifully available in a general case.

Gave you an upvote because this is a completely reasonable question that deserves a proper conversation instead of just being downvoted into oblivion.
