Did they get punished or is this somehow excused due to slavery or something
You know it is.
This is the real tragedy, is that because criminal behavior is always excused rather than punished for blacks, they're never going to improve and resentment and distrust of them will fester. This is a deserved reaction, but it didn't have to be this way. There are no consequences for their actions so why would their behavior change? The whole of society will bend over backwards making excuses. Meanwhile anyone with an ounce of awareness will watch all of this happen again and again and again and as a result will correctly see black Americans as a threat to be avoided or neutralized. It doesn't help black Americans socio-economic situation, it doesn't help them socially integrate with the rest of America and it doesn't serve the rest of America either.
Absolutely all parties involved would be better off if this kid got lynched for doing this. That's the ugly reality of where we are right now, and it did not have to be this way and I fucking hate that this is where we are at. Maybe reintroduce corporal punishment to schools and have someone backhand the kid for acting like a nigger and you'll get less niggers and more respectable black men and women. It's clearly possible for blacks to not be criminal fucking scum. I know far too many perfectly well adjusted blacks in my life to think that they lack the capacity for it, but lack of accountability for their actions will sabotage anyone.
Amen. Your post makes me think of that Chris Rock standup where he talks about the difference between black people and niggers. Sadly Chris Rock has bent the knee a long time ago and wouldn't have the guts to make that point today.
A huge problem is that as a society we keep rewarding people for being victims or being offended. Also, nobody pushes back when they see young black people talk about being oppressed and of course as you mention the crime rates. God forbid you actually address that and get to the root causes. If a white person talks about this they are racist, if a black person who grew up in the hood and worked his/her way out talk about it they are white supremacists/or have internalized self hatred.
My dad predicted what you are describing a few years back (growing resentment) and it will keep growing until true equality if practiced where people are held to the same standards.
