Setting all other things Jester aside, I actually do like ctrl-left. I hate that they call themselves 'progressive', as if they were progressing towards anything other than maximal degeneracy and decay. The ctrl-left label encapsulates their insane authoritarianism quite nicely to me.
I'd say around 2015-2017? Though I can't say I remember when I started and stopped seeing the phrase used.
In retrospect it was a term stuck firmly in Gamergate, hell, it's a phrase only GaMeRs would know. Something that was used when we thought the only enemies were gamejournos and the "vocal minority" of trigglypuffs (member that?) and SJWs.
It essentially applied to a miniscule subset of a much larger enemy (granted, we had no idea of the true scope of the enemy at the time) and that, combined with the phraseology only being relevant to a small group of tech-inclined online weirdos, meant it never could make that jump into the larger cultural conscience.
lol, ya just triggered me bro. taking us back to the days of milo. things were simpler. elections werent stolen (that often), russia was yet to be the most talked about scandal of the century. sargo was not yet a lolcow

Personally, I prefer to turn anything they like to call themselves into a slur. They hate being called progs.
*progplugs
"Progress" is in the eye of the beholder and just means you want things your way. Crybabies.
But anyway it should be cmd-left since you know the far left all use macs.
that meme was forced and just never took off, when was it from? 2016 2017?
Whenever they co opted alt right
