Yeah. I've been watching his channel for a while. I think he goes by "alpha nerd" on Odysee and Mental Outlaw on Jootube. He has some good content. He used to do a lot of videos on Linux.
I tried Yandex for a while. Decent results but I had to switch to English every time I restarted my browser because I throw out all cookies when I close it. Maybe there's a way to avoid that but I was too lazy to try :)
I've been using Brave search since then. It's ok for 95% of the searches but it's not great for complex searches, but neither was DDG. One advantage of Brave is that it has decent local search results (I'm not in the US). DDG sucked at that.
What is a good alternative? Bravesearch?
I installed Brave a couple of weeks ago, they have a built in vpn which makes censored websites easy to access, Thumbs up to them so far.
I've been using Brave browser for a year.
Didn't realize it had an internal VPN.
Cool.
Only complaint I have is the ad frequency if you opt in to that BAT stuff. I stopped and haven't had a complaint since.

Also I recommend following Mental Outlaw on Odysee. He's a good source for how to avoid the glowies and the corporate globo homo
I think the first video I noticed of his was the one on crypto miners in Norton.
Seems like a good 'canary in the coal mine' sort of channel.

If you're looking for decent Linux vids Luke Smith is pretty good, but I kinda think he's full of himself and a tad unhinged.
Yeah. I watch him to. He reminds me of that hipster faggot Jack Conte from Patreon but not as dumb. I watch his content to sometimes.

It defaults to English for me.
