Why would they return them? Europe started stealing assets from random Russians, like the yacht Germany seized from some Russian billionaire. Turnabout is fair play.
I’m a fan of this. We can’t stop leftists from illegally seizing anything, but the precedent will come in handy if nationalists ever regain control. Imagine seizing all of the assets controlled by China…
They have some for sure. I know there's some Tupolev airliners. Then there's Antonov in Ukraine that was notable in Soviet days if they can manage to claim it back.
They probably won't be able to get parts for the Airbus ones they keep, unless they can make parts themselves.
That's globalization for you. Everything is way too connected.
Outside of the things others mentioned, there would be cost and logistics involved in returning them. I suppose something that could be worked out, but Russia has no incentive to play nice when the same things are being done to them from the other side.
There was one in Ukraine. That was one of the thing's Putin complained about in his speech. He said that Ukraine ruined their airline industry and many other companies after Russia invested in them.
Both Tupolev and Sukhoi make decent enough regional airliners, the problem is that most of the bigger airliners are older, and the Russians can't afford to rebuild the manufacturing capability.
One of things the KGB were great at, was having dirt on the shitty Euro poli-ticks. I don't know how good the FSB is, but I once thought they were like the CIA.
I'm surprised that even Switzerland is stealing assets. I would have expected that the Russian's could turn up the pain in a big way, but I guess not.

"It's only ok when we do it!! Reeeee."

Right, so if they wont be able to fix their own shit, why bother holding onto it? It'll eventually wear out and they'll be back to square one.

Made in China.
Damn they are going to clean up.
Hahaha, good one Russia.
