The movie sucks, don't watch - not worth a detailed review/synopsis so here is the short version. Spoilers following.
The first scene has a woman lecturing her son on privilege, at least she soon dies. Then there is a big section in the middle where the main character "nobleman" blubbers while apologizing for the British Empire.
There is a mary sue woman who is sassy to men and "THE BEST" at arbitrary skills that are useful to the plot, at the end of the movie she is dressed like a dyke larping steampunk.
The plot is a convoluted fictional tying together of the historical events surrounding WW1 that I didn't really bother following. The action was OK but forgettable. The only standout was the dance fight scene with Rasputin, who was the only interesting character so of course they had to make him a wierdo sodomite.
Overall it was worse than Kingsman 2 which was just barely watchable.
I turned it off maybe 10 minutes in when the maid began talking down to her fucking employer, and he just sat down like a whipped dog and took it.
At that time period if that uppity bitch even opened her mouth to her employer regarding things out of her purview he would probably have slapped the shit out of her and thrown her on the street.
Pretending that a female servant would have ANY say in anything her employer would do is so absurd and stupid that it completely took me out of the film, glad I didn't waste my time with it further.
A servant wouldn't want to talk to her boss like that. If they were close friends she might rattle off complaints in a joking passive-aggressive way. People understood and accepted the master/servant hierarchy. Those living in the UK or colonies were especially class-conscious. (it might make more sense in an American movie)
And her peers would have said "naturally, you deserved it."
Hi. I've started c/Movies for this.
The second one was half good and half awful. Anything having to do with Poppy directly - the 50s diner set, the Elton John theater, the robot shit - was over the top and cringe. I didn't mind the Statesman stuff or the action sequences with them even though Pedro Pascal can fuck right off.
Thanks for the heads up
I liked this movie a lot. There are plenty of pozzed and bluepilled things about it, though. But, that’s to be expected these days.
Can we please have a .win where we find non-woke movies/ shows. I remember there was one on ruqqus back before the thing happened.
I found so many good movies and added some as well. Is it very difficult to start a community on here? I know some programming/ coding/ sysadmin stuff
I haven't watched a movie since John Wick 3. Skipped F9 because Cardi B is in it.
I saw the first Kingsman movie. Didn't think much of it. Kind of dull.
First Kingsman was dull? Wut?
I barely remember seeing it, that's how uninteresting it was.
That film literally had Keanu fighting two midgets. Keep in mind Reeves is 6'1 but still, look at these screengrabs
Even with everyone standing and Reeves in the background it's clear how much of a height difference there is.

Being overly fair both actors are in roughly the same stance so comparatively they are as short as each other, however Reeves is still towering over the other guy.

It's not until you have Reeves literally on his knees there is some degree of matching.

Again, Reeves is on his knees here, the other guy is standing upright behind him.

He should have just punted them both down the stairs.
This is best take.
What a surprise, the Nazi defends women's propaganda. Again.
