Weimar isn’t the first time, either…
See: pretty much all of “Imperial continental Europe”, pre-WW1; Napoleon III-era France vs Prussia; the Ancien Régime (also in France); the fall of Constantinople, and before that (most notably) Rome, and before that Ptolemaic Egypt, and loooong before that, the various Greek city states, and even before that, the Minoans, in Crete…
We’ve quite literally always done this…
It seems that degeneracy and moral… Decline, function as a sort of… “Population control”, if you like.
Weak men >> Hard times, etc…
Cycles of collapse. We’re about due for one. It’s just that this time, due to things being so “globalized”, now… it might take out the whole “West”… 😑
Question is, which powder keg: Taiwan, Ukraine and Belarus (again), or a fucking US Civil War 2.0….? 🤷🏻♂️
Hey, let's not be closed-minded here, it could easily be all the powder kegs at once.
WW1 wasn't a single-issue. WW2 wasn't a single issue. China and Japan didn't give one fuck about how blondes with big noses and with little noses hated each-other. They had multiple issues all around, that conglomerated into factional sides over time.
A "WW3" scenario, or a collapse scenario, likely the same thing, will likely be a very rapid domino chain of questionable origin point.
Wild Prediction Example: US has some form of nation-wide mass unrest in early 2025 over election results. Seeing the unrest, China makes a land grab. Seeing China do it, Russia quickly follows suit. The dual land grabs and subsequent political upheavals send refugees into the EU, overstraining and collapsing their system in mere months. Seeing these disasters on the world stage, the unrest in the USA becomes a "if my side isn't in power, the world is destroyed" level unrest and spawns a civil war.
These types of powder kegs don't tend to go off on their own. This isn't a powder keg, it's an entire fireworks factory of disasters.
Depends what Ursula Von Der Leyen decides. It is her bloc that will be first to jump to Ukraine's aid.
There will not be a war over Taiwan, even with TSMC, it's not worth it.
Germany and thus the EU is appeasing Moscow like if it's Ribbentrop-Molotov again, because after they shut down their nuclear power plants like the idiots they are they're now dependant on the Russian literal power in order to survive.
Only the countries like Poland or the Baltics really stand with Ukraine, and the UK (as with the recent missile deliveries in the flights bypassing Germany) but it's after Brexit. Besides, Canada too. (Not America, or at least not since Biden too over as during the supposed "Russian collusion" period they have been aiding Ukraine.)
