Because Soviets won WW2 and went on to infiltrate America and build a new fifth column from which they could subvert our culture and tear it down from within?
The Soviet satellite states that they violently subjugated for decades until the USSR collapsed? Well that's the fun thing about communism, once the revolution happens you don't allow people the freedom to debate whether communism is beneficial to the people. There's no reason to infiltrate any country already under your sphere of influence; and it turns out living under communism sours you on that form of political economics.
I don't know where you're going with this but it did help that we were separated geographically from the USSR whereas the Balkan states and Eastern Europe were not so lucky. I also wouldn't say that there's no violent subjugation going on here, as though thugs don't routinely attack anyone to the right of Stalin. The one advantage we have is privately owned firearms, and gun confiscation was usually one of the first acts the communists would do after they took over an area.

How come they 'infiltrated' America more successfully than their own satellites?

Slow tap... why did they need to 'violently subjugate' those states and why did they disappear as satellite states as soon as this stopped?
How come America is going to worse shit without any violent subjugation?
