This is why I call them pseudo gendered. They have no interest in actual transition which would be to say I’m a woman and there’s nothing special about that. Instead they are 1. A woman 2. A trans woman and 3. Super special and if you don’t instant recognize me in the way I demand I’ll assault you.
But it is still absurd that it’s gone this far. As a kid/teen I rarely heard about trans people but it was understood that it was a man who believed he was a woman or a man who had surgery to look more feminine. Never once til a few years ago did I hear believing you are a woman makes you one or if you are a straight man you should date a “trans woman”
And I hate the word heteronormative. Yes people are free to live how they choose but the way they try to make it seem as if heterosexuality isn’t the norm is beyond ridiculous
They're doing the same thing they did with ADD/ADHD when we were growing up: take a rare disorder (as in, a behavior so severe as to significantly impair a person's ability to function in day to day life), have unqualified people (ie. teachers and school admins) make parents believe their normal kids have this disorder, then launder that unqualified opinion through doctors incentivized to provide treatment to concerned parents.
Then -- surprise surprise -- watch the number of children "diagnosed" with ADHD explode.
Except now in addition to getting these kids hooked on pills they're mutilating them.
