Orlando Sentinel (Pravada of Central Florida) says DeSantis has a 'boogey man' for Florida, CRT, because, while it's in colleges, it's not being taught in schools, and is being authoritarian by blocking it. This is how you know these people are evil and there is no compromise. (archive.ph)

The whole CRT debate is a perfect example of leftist gaslighting. The left says CRT is a grad school level curriculum and K-12 students aren't being taught that. This is technically true. Yet the whole white = oppressor, POC = victim mentality is being taught at the K-12 level, even if it's not not technically CRT. CRT is being used as a catchall term for this race baiting bullshit, and leftists are being disingenuous fucks by using the technical definition when it comes up. Based on the election results in Virginia voters have stopped falling for their "don't believe your lying eyes" shtick, and it's about fucking time.

If CRT isn't being taught in schools, why do they care about it being banned?

I like how Tim Pool refers to the junk they're teaching in K-12 as CRT 'praxis'/applied CRT. Because the left is definitely engaging in the gaslighting.

It'll be impossible or very improbable to point to your average high school educator pulling selected readings of Kimberle Crenshaw for students to read, much more likely to run into material talking about privilege, whiteness, and so on

It is being taught in schools, the teachers themselves are integrating it into their already compromised curriculum.

I love that, somehow, blocking actual racism, lies, and mental abuse of white students while infantalizing and encouraging hatred, criminal behavior, and lazy entitlement among black students is considered authoritarianism. This is supposed to be a school, they are there to learn facts, not hear some indebted cunt try to justify her existence and fat cushy salary through extremely off-the-rails historical fanfiction.

It may not be taught in schools under that name but CRT ideas are.

If teaching the bible is banned because of separation of church and state, CRT had sure as hell better be banned as well. It's simply an atheist "religion".

Imagine how hard they people would lose their shit, how quickly a teacher would be fired, for stating to their class, as fact, the Jesus died for our sins.

But you can teach the same kids that they are privileged due entirely to the colour of their skin, and this is considered appropriate?

We don't even need new laws, just enforce the separation of church and state. CRT is exactly why that idea exists.

Could work. My worry would be just what happens when it's afforded 1st amendment protection like other religions.
