FLCCC lists black seed oil as an alternative (look for one with 1.5% TQ). It isn't nearly as well tested, and it literally tastes like what you'd imagine floor polish tastes like but it's (hopefully) unlikely they'll be able to ban it since it's technically just a food.

I’ve had the horse paste. It tastes chemically artificial. I just put it on a ritz cracker and that made it passable for me. A horse would probably prefer that too…
