What did Salvation Army do?
Blamed white people for everything, then doubled down when they got caught.
Newsweek of all places has a surprisingly good article about it. tl;dr: SA used donor money to produce a guide called "Let's Talk About...Racism." The guide demands that White people "repent and apologize" for racism. Beyond being blatantly racist, this has absolutely nothing to do with the SA's mission of helping people out of poverty.

Thanks for posting this. Got in an argument with family about not wanting to donate to the Salvation Army like we've done for years and they'll be more likely to listen to an article from a "reputable" news source.
Doubtful it'll work, they said I should just donate to the ku klux Klan then for all they care, but at least it's something
