This is a better version.
At least early MLP:FIM is well written cartoon that both kids and adults can sit down and enjoy. They even tackled an issue of authoritarian socialism at one point in a round about way.

tl;dw - Commies were wrong and capitalism makes everyones life better. So rather than admit they are wrong they shift their sighs to new targets, blacks, degenerates and gullible women. University trained marxist "activists" keep the grievances of those groups at the forefront of the culture until there is enough unrest to lead to their "glorious revolution".
