I'd say these people fall into two groups: one actually believes it and one who merely regurgitates the woke shit for profit.

The former people are mentally stunted and never grew up. In Germany we have a term for the cause of this "Wohlstandsverwahrlosung" which roughly translates to degeneracy due to affluence. They never had any challenges or hardships growing up which stunted their mental growth.

The latter gain personal profit from wokeness (e.g. women, minorities, alphabet people, thirsty beta orbiters) or they gain financial profit (e.g. people who live off the government teat) so they stick to the party/ideology that promises the most gibs.

I think a large segment of people are somewhere in between, NPCs who merely regurgitate the woke shit and think they believe it because some influencer is pushing it. Probably 80% of people have no principles and stand for nothing. If the cultural tide shifts to "anti-woke", most will claim they were anti-woke all along.

The older I get the more I find myself despising these people more than my ideological enemies. Much as I stand against them I get that on some level me and then guy on the other side of the line are both fighting for something but those people? They just stand at the finish line and cheer whoever wins.

True, maybe they kind of belong to the second group: they follow because it's easier for them to just go along than to have their own opinion they would have to defend. The profit is the path of least resistance.

I've seen a lot of people fall into this category.

Many of the people on social media talking about the SAEs they've encountered from the vaccine fit this group.

A LOT of women complain about getting the vaccine because they were pressured to, and then go on to claim victimhood status because they now have myocarditis. The excuses typically trend toward "I had to get it because of my job", or "I felt pressured to get it, even though my gut was telling me not to."

Most people just go along with something to avoid becoming social outcasts or being ousted from the in-group. So yeah, you're definitely right about majority of people have no principles and standing for nothing.

As stated by Lee Camp

It is far easier for most people to take the path of least resistance. Especially if their friends and family are traveling on it.

That's one thing I noticed I hate the most, parasites who claimed to be on our side but now act like they "regret" everything they said "back then". Those people deserve to end up on the streets and unloved. I despise people with no principles.

German

Wohlstandsverwahrlosung

Of course.

It's always either German or Welsh.

Germanphoneticscanbesummarizedasiftheyforgotthespacebarexists is a German-inspired English word meaning "German phonetics can be summarized as if they forgot the space bar exists".

I remember a time when "gib" meant 'blown apart".

I like the old term better.

There's some overlap with migrants from a certain religious group.

Hey neat to see this German term. My wife and I were planning to go to Switzerland next summer, and we've been learning a little German (it's really a tough language). But we like these videos - https://www.youtube.com/c/EasyGerman - where they often have terms and what they basically mean. Neat, fun stuff. Hoping Switzerland works out pending vaccines and all this ridiculousness.

Even if you are fluent in German you won't be able to understand the fucking Swiss when they speak. And it's less than half the country as they speak French in just as much if not more of the country, the south speaks Italian, and the mountain people have their own language.

However, they all speak English...
