That was the “official” reason. They spent a year calling Trump racist for saying China Virus, but called it the Indian variant when they wanted you to associate it with India. Once covid disappeared from India, this excuse conveniently appeared when they wanted to draw your attention away from India.
Man, HP makes the best laptops on the market in my experience. As someone who is not very kind to his laptops, HP's have stood up to the abuse and lasted longer than any other brand.
Guess I'll have to try another brand when I look for a new one (although chances are most tech companies are going to follow suit at this rate).
