They already pulled a Charlie Brown by literally creating a navigator who is a rock. Every time I think they can’t fuck it up worse somehow they manage it. I even heard they are going to have Darth Vader fight Obi-Wan again in that Kenobi series they’re making 🤦♂️
I mean an obi vader duel isn't a terrible idea in of itself. There's 20 years between RoTS and ANH. I'm sure vader tries to track down obi wan at some point in those 20 years before writing him off for dead(or just figuring he was dead.) But if they have the duel on tattooine that will be completely retarded.
I don't think they've given the franchise to someone so inept and unskilled at filmmaking since the Star Wars Holiday Special.
Hey, now. There is no way you can legitimately say the people behind the Holiday Special were unskilled. To come up with something that magnificently trippy, disturbing and just plain insane as the SWHS requires a lot of skill - skills I'm glad I don't have, but skills nonetheless.
My initial reaction was "Oh good lord, I hope not", but then I took a beat and thought about it. What's he going to do? Fuck it up worse than what JJ and Ruin did? I mean, I've already bootleg-watched Mando, and I'm not bothering to consume any of the other Nu-Wars media, so fuck it. If they want him, they can have him, and it'll be funny to watch the wokies get saltier than Crait over yet another failure of their lapdog projects.
Despite some Disney-era insert stuff that made little sense, I really enjoyed it. It was a nice bit of insight into the mindset of the Mandalorian people as a whole, and I definitely got some strong "Lone Wolf and Cub" vibes from it. Dunno if I'd go back for a rewatch, and definitely not something that'd drive me to throw a subscription at D+, but it was a fun binge diversion for a few nights.
I'll probably check it out as well, then. I've been looking for something that is worth watching at least once. Haven't seen anything recent except The Tomorrow War, which was ok enough. My uncle gave me the 2000's adaptation of Dune a few months ago. I can't get into it, way too much exposition.
Dune, in and of itself, is a huge infodump to swallow. I feel like that's probably why there hasn't been a really good adaptation of it. Every time they've tried it's been mediocre, at best. Hell, in order to read the book you have to be in the proper mindset to juggle the politics between the factions, a HUGE cast of characters, and the interpersonal relationships between all of them. I bounced off the book several times before I finally forced myself to read it back in my twenties, and even now I barely recall half of what went on. For being sci-fi classic, it's a chore to get through if you're not into political sci-fi.
This is going to be glorious. A fat hairy pussy in a hat is going to wear Leia's face and pretend to be a woman, then lose to the empire 5 seconds after the destruction of the second Death Star and Imperial forces at Endor.
I'm looking forward to seeing how much more they can ruin starwars

i mean why not?
What can he do? Ruin it even more? He no longer has a reputation so I have no idea what Disney is doing with this.
Same thought, especially at this point

What'd you think? Worth it?

This is like getting called up to play in the major leagues of movie ruining.
