I'll probably check it out as well, then. I've been looking for something that is worth watching at least once. Haven't seen anything recent except The Tomorrow War, which was ok enough. My uncle gave me the 2000's adaptation of Dune a few months ago. I can't get into it, way too much exposition.
Dune, in and of itself, is a huge infodump to swallow. I feel like that's probably why there hasn't been a really good adaptation of it. Every time they've tried it's been mediocre, at best. Hell, in order to read the book you have to be in the proper mindset to juggle the politics between the factions, a HUGE cast of characters, and the interpersonal relationships between all of them. I bounced off the book several times before I finally forced myself to read it back in my twenties, and even now I barely recall half of what went on. For being sci-fi classic, it's a chore to get through if you're not into political sci-fi.
