Something about being able to interpret research papers and about being taught to be a critical thinker… but, a Facebook survey isn’t exactly a random sample lol

being taught to be a critical thinker…

We're talking about PhDs, the most gullible people there are.

I think that’s more indicative of masters degree where you’re regurgitating curriculum. PhDs have to define their own curriculum and defend their findings. It’s a different process not conducive to diploma factories

PhDs have to define their own curriculum and defend their findings.

You have to 'defend' your findings before other so called experts in the field. What kind of 'experts' will one find in sociology and social psychology? Radical leftists generally.

To be clear, I have great respect for physics PhDs, and others that take skills, intelligence and learning. Not for the ideologues in the social "sciences" and humanities though.

And yet the physicists are not the ones who have figured out how to rule one the people…

PhDs have to define their own curriculum and defend their findings.

This is long gone in American academia outside of STEM. Many phds today could have never gone through a classical defense. They'd have run out of the room screaming about the patriarchy.

Maybe so but then again they also didn’t have to compete against women, foreigners, and the internet. 🤷‍♂️

Other risk factors for hesitancy included younger age, non-Asian race and living in a rural county with higher Trump 2020 support, among others---- Risk factors for hesitancy? Trump? These people are so twisted thinking of it in these terms.

My risk factor is that when I was 5 I had a serious infection of common sense.

The anti-Covid-vaccine crowd has a severe case of Gellman amnesia, suddenly forgetting everything it knows about PhDs when these morons agree with them.

I simply find it amusing: the shitlibs fetisize "experts", education, and advanced degrees and declares everyone who doesn't want to vaccinate themselves "uneducated", and then you see something like this.

That is the right response - pointing out their endless hypocrisies. I thought this was cited as proof that this is somehow intelligent, because PhDs are rull smart after writing a dissertation about feminist dance theory.

Believe me, I work with enough PhDs who have gone as far off the deep end on this stuff as anyone else to be disabused of that notion.

Did a PHD make fun of your twilight fanfics or something?

The anti-Covid-vaccine crowd has a severe case of Gellman amnesia

That's the pro-vaxx idiots suffering from the Gell-Man Amnesia effect, since the media is lying from top to bottom about everything: Trump-Russia collusion, climate change, no evidence of voter fraud, peaceful protests, #Gamergate....

And yet these idiots will turn around and say "the vaccines are safe because the media said so", instead of critically thinking about the science, the bypassing of basic medical ethical procedures, the lack of longitudinal studies, the lack of safety protocols, and the fact that fatality and SAE rates are purposely being hidden and obscured by health authorities.

What kind of fool recognizes that the media has lied about everything else, but suddenly they're right about the vaccines being safe?

Yes, this would apply to anyone who believes anything that the media has to say. If it said that the sky is blue, I'd check just to make sure.

What kind of fool recognizes that the media has lied about everything else, but suddenly they're right about the vaccines being safe?

The media is right about any number of things. Hell, in order to lie, you need to be able to get some things right. The issue is not believing that the vaccines are safe, as stupid as it is to believe that they are either 'safe' or 'unsafe', but that they are either safe or unsafe because what has been said in the lying media that you happen to have consumed.

But... Isn't the racial divide of injecteers just massive?

So are black people all PhDs? It's a reasonable conclusion based on the intertwining of the data, I guess.

Phds are some of the most incompetent crowd I've encountered.
