Basically. All you're taught your whole life is shitlibbery. Even if you're raised "conservative" it's shitlibbery from decades past mixed in with just enough traditionalism to make it palatable.
The only way you come around to this side is if you see something that makes you realize "hey this shit ain't working, and it's not going to start working just by doing more of it"

The mainstream conservative movement really is ridiculously cucked. I heard a joke criticizing them, and it's sad because it's so true: It would be radical and absurd for a modern Republican to propose Obama's spending bill from five years ago. That would be so out there, you'd get laughed out of the room. What are they conserving exactly? Apparently they're not even conserving the liberal paradigm they "compromised" on last cycle, since they've already compromised on more recent stuff since then!
Also, apparently we have a "Republican climate change caucus" or something, too...?
There's some good politicians in there but, by and large, the party is an absolute joke. At least they're not actively trying to destroy us, though...for the most part. God forbid you peacefully protest, though. They'll throw you under the bus so hard if you actually try to make your voice heard.
Yes this is why when people ask why the left doesn't act as though they respect the right I say the right hasn't given them any reason to do so.
They'll vehemently "oppose" (but not really because they never truly put up a proper fight) something like gay marriage then 10 years later declare it a "conservative value" while they're vehemently "opposing" Drag Queen Story Hour.
Why should your opponent respect you when they know when they win you'll simply take their side in 10 years?
There's a lot of that, I've started to pick up on it a ton in my family in the past year. I call them church conservatives because they only don't vote Democrat because of their church and it's stance on abortion and homos. Things I could never get behind like socialist programs, stimulus, mask mandates, lockdowns, vaccine passports, etc. they are all good with. Maybe not to the extreme of a liberal, but they support them.
This group is almost all women, and what men they surround themselves with are cucks. Perhaps not cucked in the sense of a 20-something soyboy wife's boyfriend type, but they dare not stand in the way of what the woman wants. Partly the reason I harp on about the influence of the men I had around growing up, because the stand on your own two feet, take care of yourself, think for yourself, and be independent all came from them. The ones of those men that are left in the family are either divorced or deceased at this point unfortunately.
