If you hate yourself, it's time to re-evaluate your life. Such as why the fuck are you a furry? Though I suppose if I was molested by a guy in a cartoon fox costume, I'd hate myself too.

They typically are products of failed socialization. The normal process is for a person to correct their behaviors to enough of a degree to fit in, but a furry (also other classes of degenerate) will instead reject their peers. They do not understand the process of social give-and-take. Thanks to the communicative powers of the internet, these people can achieve their own support groups so all members can circumvent normal social support principles.
It is the furry community as a social support group that will discourage the normal re-evaluation of one's life. Other furries will not wish you well or congratulate personal growth, they may well attack you. This is because it challenges the foundation of the furry community - it is a place for the warped and maladapted, so any correction demands excommunication. Failing to demonize such a member gives an implicit signal to all members that it is not right to reject personal growth, which will trigger cognitive dissonance (and nobody likes feeling cognitive dissonance).
In a way, the furries that hate themselves are on the cusp of becoming normal again. On the other hand, self-loathing plus a refusal to change oneself creates a despicable person.
tl;dr: Furries generally cannot re-evaluate their lives and change themselves. It requires attributes that are already selected against for initial group inclusion.

It's the same dynamic with the mentally ill or "mentally ill". They all find each other on Tumblr and convince themselves that they're fine and it's everyone else who has the problem.
I am largely ignorant of Tumblr, but I do agree - I've seen this dynamic unfold in many places online. I hold a mixture of pity and contempt for those involved. Some of the poor fucks may just need a little help, but they'll get dragged down by the ones that revel in spiritual squalor.
It's the same for all these groups built around disability and victimhood. They don't want their problems solved. They just want to wallow in them so they can reap the rewards of never-ending affirmation and power gifted to them for being so "disadvantaged."
If we ever develop the technology to change people's sex for real, as in change them on a genetic-molecular level and give them all the working organs, hormones, and appearances, the trannies will be the first and loudest ones to decry it.
Yep. Even if some of the miserable ones are given a miracle to correct their woes, there's a good chance that they'll just find something else to be miserable about. This knowledge is not hidden from them, so it's a sort of self-preservation to stall it from coming to fruition - lucky for them that such science/magic is nowhere near available.
These uwu fags are cringe in my oppinion, plus they are more likely to be regressive leftists, hell they will blindly defend sex offenders such as kero, who actually appealed to the regrrssive left by bashing their enemies.
If your wondering how the furry community went to shit after getting more accepted in the online sphere since the early 2010's, this is why.
how the furry community went to shit... since the early 2010s
They were deviants long before that. I know because tolerant me was friends with people in the online furry community since early 2000s... and it always ended up with them showing off their erotic art collection. They seemed like reasonable people who just liked cute animal avatars, and then suddenly red dongs everywhere. It's something I'd like to forget.
One that attracts two kinds of people it really, really, really shouldn't: children, and pedos looking to take advantage of the kind of anonymity a full-body costume can provide.
The furry community does have a major issue with how it attracts zoophiles, similar to how the lolicon communities have issues with how it attracts pedophiles.
Art focused communities are unfortunately a major gateway into accessing pornography.
Because for the most part, they were. Then over the course of the 2000's and 2010s, they slowly got less and less reasonable, more and more overtly fucked up.
They used to be mostly normal people who had a thing for jacking it to Lola Bunny type drawings. Now they're overrun with fatfurs, diaperfurs, communist larpers, BLM supporters, troons and rabid leftists.
It actually went over mine. I was too wrapped up in the trainwreck on display. It all seems like satire, but I know it is not. Some of the comment chains are too spot-on.
It's okay, I hate you too. Suffer not the furry to live.

Imagine drawing virtually your entire social circle from less than 3% of the population and then thinking you know best for everyone.
Furries singlehandedly managed to ruin anthropomorphic animals.
Good.

The furry community is pretty much a fetish community whether they like it or not.
One that attracts two kinds of people it really, really, really shouldn't: children, and pedos looking to take advantage of the kind of anonymity a full-body costume can provide.

There was also nazi uniform fetishism in the fandom, however the regressive left destroyed that fetish with the furry raiders drama.
I AM NOT DEFENDING THE FURRY RAIDERS AS THEY ARE ZOOPHILES.
