They mortgaged the financial futures of the following generations. They have no qualms about also sacrificing their actual lives as well.
Expansion of Medicare, especially under Bush, massive increases in government debt, total debasement of the currency thanks to Nixon, and Social Security eligibility staying at 65 while life expectancy for a 65 year old has risen from 79 in 1950 to 85 in 2016. All this while the corporations have bought up the government regulatory apparatus, so they can suck more and more from the government teat, which the boomers are no longer funding because they're retired.
For the majority, only by time spent voting for (or at least failing to overthrow) the crap politicians who are continuing this process. But the politicians themselves have been Boomers since the Clinton administration.
