No, I don't mean a video, I mean the phenomenon; just assembled a wood barbeque the other day where the only actual words in the instruction booklet was the make and model of the bbq itself. I remember when instruction manuals had, well, instructions written out in English (or some semblance of it, if it came from Japan.) Words have been disappearing from signs since the 1970s. You know bathrooms would actually SAY "Men" and "Women" on them? That was about the first thing to get replaced with caveman drawings, bathroom signs.
You mean like IKEA instructions? I really hate those. Most of the time they're fine, but the one time something becomes ambiguous is the time you wish it would use actual freaking words to clarify but no it's a just a cartoon man holding a board and shrugging like he doesn't even know what to do either.
I remember Jay Leno showing some kind of airplane instructions that were just drawings, and totally looked like it was saying "Do not use your laser vision on the jet engines, they will catch fire."
Anyway, they're just training people to do their thoughtcrime in caveman drawings that only maybe an in-group with a shared in-group culture can understand.

Yes, the IKEA gene seems to be spreading.
