At this point I wish the Trump family would just fade away. You had your chance to fight these people, and you failed to do what you needed to do to keep power.
While you complain on twitter about double standards your enemies "fortify" elections and occupy a seat of power you abdicated despite claiming their victory to be illegitimate.
Me too, but for other reasons. I wish they were out of the news so the current administration stopped comparing the sitting president to Trump. We're still playing the "let's swing the conversation to the Trump family" game any time Biden is criticized for anything, it's tiring.
If trump was on pluto, They would still complain about him.
One person cannot undo the deep state.
Then you need to find people to help you. That's pretty much your job as an executive.
It's not that simple. Trump couldn't just hire anyone he wanted. His appointments had to be confirmed by the very system he's trying to dismantle.
I'm not saying that he couldn't have done more. He definitely could have, but the deep state would have simply responded in kind. If Trump actually got close to making lasting changes they would have either assassinated him or planted evidence of a crime that was so bad that he would have been ousted from office.
Well he found some, but not enough. And of the ones he had, some were jailed by a corrupt FBI and justice department, some were driven out by the media, some by their own families.
I think the biggest problem Trump had in his first term is that he thought that politicians and bureaucrats were reasonable people who would act in reasonable ways given their stated goals, when the reality is that they are just out for themselves 100% of the time.
As much as I want to rail against him, I can't exactly blame him for not understanding exactly how corrupt and irredeemable Washington really was.
