I've noticed the degeneracy but I haven't noticed the prudishness... What do you mean?
Things like "oh, that's objectification of women, NASCAR can't have race babes. And you can't have booth babes at video game conventions, that's too sexual!" You also see it in things like protesting Uzaki-chan or many other arts with the outcry of "but where are their ORGANS?!?! Their bodies cannot look like that and still have organs!"
They're very much anti sexuality as it pertains to things that heterosexuals might possibly like. Especially heterosexual males.
