I saw his most recent one, The Gentlemen, last year. He actually took the piss out of wokism in a couple of spots in that film.
Wish we could have the Sci-Fi genre back...
Thanks Eldourado - it is not enough that we isolate ourselves and boycott woke companies...
We should support the non-woke - so that they can see our economic footprint
Watched the trailer and it looks like just my cup of tea. Thanks for the recommendation!
I will never seen a Guy Richie film again after that abomination that was King Arthur. I heard elsewhere that this film was bad too. Someone said it had no ending, but just abruptly ends.
Yeh. Ritchie is terrible. Lots of posing. No story.
Nice, I like a bit of Statham...not too fussed about Ritchie, not the worst director in the world but I'm finding it hard to remember a really great film he made, Snatch was his best? Probably...a long time ago that.
I saw Army of the Dead last night which once I'd got over that it wasn't really a horror film and is incredibly woke...was a solid action/heist movie, it rips off Aliens at the end in a quite puzzling scene for scene way though.
Incredibly woke? I had hoped it would not be. Damn.
'Incredibly' is a bit much to be honest, but it is a Netflix film so you can expect it really.
Apparently Snyder had full creative control so you probably can't blame NF as usual.
It's not offensively woke, but it is very woke, if you follow me.
Can you give examples? Would greatly appreciate it.
Anti-american comment, stronk females everywhere, white guys are either gay or evil...oh god looking at that I was right the first time...it is incredibly woke.
Cause my threshold for letting it annoy me is quite high.
It had already shit the bed for me not being a proper horror film, but I found myself enjoying it despite that, so it must be decent film.
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels is Ritchie’s best film.
How do we know? Just because of Statham?
Because I saw it and I recommend it.
You can look at the trailer.
It seems to have no black people in it, which makes it easier to watch and we may not have to put up with super-negro and super-woman or weakling White man or miscegenation.
On the other hand, it is a heist-revenge movie and all of the criminals are also White, despite what all of the national crime stats tell us about blacks and violent crime.
So you can't really say it is non-woke because it is burying obvious basic facts of our society. But as I said, at least it seems not to have the usual magic negroes and wonderwoman etc.
Will pirate. But Hollywood will never get a cent from me.
It has black people on it also. And it doesn't have "criminals", it has gangsters, true gangsters. The movie has nothing to do with petty criminals.
They don't show blacks in the trailer. Trying to bring in whites who might otherwise avoid. Bait and switch.
As to "gangsters", they aren't criminals?
And what is a "true" gangster? Aren't all criminals just evil predatory filth?
Don't get it.
This movie is sounding more like typical "woke" garbage the more I hear about it.
