Because the UN made Israel give the Palestinians a lot of money when the Palestinians kept losing the wars they started.
I already knew about that. I was alive active in politics when the UN got together and told Israel start providing some facilities for the Palestinians, and the Muslims put forth Hamas as their front men, it was talked about on the news, how they were somehow getting away with using Hamas and others as their front people in accepting that money. It was a big fuckin deal at the time, a lot of news coverage about it.
