For those who didnt know, Steam lets you put developers/publishers on your ignore list. Just go to the their creator page, click on the little "options" wheel on the right and select "ignore".
I just did that before I saw this post, thanks for bumping it here.
I wish I hadn’t bought any Serious Sam games, but I won’t be buy anything from Devolver in the future.
I’m more and more convinced that the entertainment industry is too woke/big to fail at this point thanks to consumer stupidity. Well, back to my 9th playthrough of Half-Life, I guess.
Looked it up. Epic own the developer and full rights to the game when it goes free to play this summer. Devolver are fucked, it's their best seller and they get zero compensation from Epic Games.
For me it's mostly racing games and Fortnite. I'd like to play a soccer game, but EA. Not sure what to do when the next F1 game comes out as EA are making it. I've bought them every year since 2010.
Epic haven't gone feminist yet, so I still support them. I have too much sunk cost into their games to really boycott them anyway, I'd just be losing the money I already spent.
Landfall, the people who made those YouTube bait "totally accurate (blank) simulator" games, right? I think I own one of them, from when they were hyped. I guess I'll add that to all the rest of the purchases I regret.
No idea who Devolver are.
Someone should make a tier list of developers, from the most woke to the least. It seems like they all are, so at least with a tier list, we could avoid the most egregious.
Looks like Anita's coffers were getting low if she's running another grift like this. Damn shame, too. I still had a few Devolver games on my wishlist. Guess those are gone now.
The reason there isn't a backlash is because hardly anyone knows.
Also, I wouldn't worry about Devolver, their biggest seller is Fall Guys and Epic Games now own the developer. They will definitely take the publishing rights as well.
Imagine your company's best seller being made by someone else. Literally parasitic.

For the lazy:

That can't be right. Epic own that IP.

Microsoft seriously needs to add more features to the Xbox store, because we don't get this.
No, it's the part where you can play a game without some dipshit scriptkiddie aimbotting you with his paid cheats.
At least, that's what pushed me to move back to console. I was sick of playing GTA Online and getting billions dropped on me, UFOs on my garage etc.
I basically only play either multiplayer or non-story games now. I've given up on anything with a plot because it'll turn out feminist and awful.

Ah well, couple of games off my wishlist. Thx for the info.
How the fuck did Devolver Digital get conned into giving money to that conartist bitch?
Threats of nudes being released.
Namely hers being sent TO them if they didn't comply. ?
The same way others did, by not paying attention or doing their research
Honestly, probably blackmail.

Devolver published some really nice retro-style games. Kind of a shame, but there's other fish in the sea.
Their e3 presentations actually had a continuing story line from the previous year. So won’t be watching those anymore
Piracy is the answer if you want to play their games. Easy. Problem solved.

Good. I will no longer get confused between them and Daedelic as to which one is on my blacklist because now both are.
And on the shitlist they go
Devolve, how apt.
It's not complacency, it's lack of knowledge + lack of alternatives.
I'm not the most experienced with fighting games, but couldn't it be because the male characters are better statistically?

Devolver published Hotline Miami and a bunch of stylistic, super fun games I love. I hate this news.

That wasn't the same. It was a whine about dedicated servers, not an actual boycott.
