This is a blatant attack on the freedom of the press.
I wish people would stop using it this way. The press is a technology, not a class of people. Freedom of the press means congress can't stop you from printing whatever words you want.
This is mostly a freedom of speech issue, though I guess he does have the Daily Caller.
Sorry, I just hate how journalists have carved themselves out a protected class from an individual right through the perversion of language.
I despise corporate "journalists" as much as you or maybe even more.
I agree that this is a freedom of speech issue as well as Padilla attacking a journalist who he hates.
There are very few people that are actual journalists. Glenn Greenwald, Whitney Webb, Patrick Howley and Alex Berenson are some of the few real journalists that actually write about the truth even when it goes against the uniparty.
Not disagreeing with the sentiment, just the language that promotes a misconception. This website is what is supposed to be protected from Congress, not just Jake Tapper.
You, average citizen, are too stupid to decide what is and is not dangerous. We will decide for you by silencing the viewpoints we deem safe and acceptable for you. What fucking country is this?
Choosing between the Constitution and "safety" or "security" is a false dilemma for leftists. They would happily scrap the Constitution for no reason at all, given the option. So when they pretend to make "a difficult decision" to place "our safety" over the Constitution, that decision isn't difficult at all. They want to destroy the Constitution. That is their goal.
They should call the ACLU...
To ban Tucker Carlson.
Current year ACLU would totally take the case.
So pathetic.
Alex Padilla, one of CA's two senators, calls for the silencing of Tucker Carlson by falsely claiming that Tucker is dangerous for America.

At least it’s public, usually dems just use the letter agencies to spy and threaten journalists.

Sadly that's all it takes to censor someone these days. And these people have the gall to say that censorship is the "free market" at work!
Someone is afraid his job is going to end soon. Very soon.
betraying the oath you took.
