It is not clear if the lockdown saved more lives than it ended. It probably did. But for these vaccines, even if the worst things they say about them, they definitely save more lives than they take - assuming that everyone who has taken them doesn't drop dead 1 year afterwards.

Depends on what you posit as an alternative. If it's 'doing nothing', then they definitely saved more lives than they took. If the alternative is 'protecting vulnerable groups and leaving the rest alone', then probably yes.

Note that I am not asserting that the politicians did anything to save lives. I know they couldn't give a damn about that.

Anyway, if the lockdown took more lives than it saved, then the vaccines are definitely the better of the two - since even if all cases of death can be attributed to them, they kill a fraction of the number they save.

I'm more along the lines of: they spread the disease in residences and also caused a dramatic increase in suicides, risky behavior, and violence.
