They want to charge people 90 dollars for the mass effect trilogy in 2021 lol
At this point, I think woke game development sabotaging modern gaming is a deliberate strategy for publishers. We're so sick of woke videogame bullshit that we'd literally rather rebuy games we've already played - and the publishers are Johnny on the spot with rushed and overpriced "remasters".
There are very few creative people left in AAA. Development is so expensive now that no risks are allowed, so people with real talent just sit around tweaking monetization models, or they leave.
We're all set up for another major crash. Right now, the profitability of the giants is hollow, and unsustainable.
I don't worry, it's coming. Blizzard is already almost dead, Fortnite is hollow and Epic has few backup plans, EA is already crashing, and Ubi has lost its spark. The only thing keeping them alive is that people have free gubmint money and nothing to do.
Fucking remasters are waste of time and cheap cash grab... i dont want a remaster, i want a damn sequel. Remakes are nice like RE2 (RE3, not so much), but remasters are lame. Skyrim remaster for example was nothing new except more stable. I still only play legendary edition because many mods didnt/cant be converted, plus it looks almost exactly the same anyways after both versions are modded.
But yeah, instead of skyrim remaster, i would prefer them putting the remaster team with the elderscroll 6 team to shave off a few months of dev time.
Not to mention mass effect remaster has garner some interesting attention these days with the fan service thing.

Already got them on PS4 (yeah yeah, i caved for yakuza after they sunk their claws into me with 0/1/2's pc ports and then blueballed us for a solid year on the rest) i see no problem pirating it here.
I've already played through most of these, didn't play it but I laughed at how disappointing 3 ended up being (plus, I knew a Final Mix would be out within a year of the original, like with every other release, so there was no point in getting vanilla anyway), and Epic Store and its Tencent ties can suck a fat one.
