It was hilarious listening to Nunes yesterday talk about how great it is that Parler holds people accountable, and is better than Twitter and Facebook because you can be held accountable for your "free speech."
I hate when people I agree with on some stuff are absolute lunatics on others. I'm pro free speech (obviously), and a lot of Republicans - to their credit - will absolutely defend that. And certainly much more than the Democrats. But most Republicans don't understand free speech. In some cases they make very anti free speech arguments while making pro free speech arguments.
It seems like boomers like Ted Cruz have finally understood what it means. Too bad so many don't.

Oh no, my spoofed number is in the hands of leftists... I mean, I liked Parler, but there was no way I was giving them my real number. Same reason I left Twitter, when they demanded my phone number and fake numbers didn't work. I eventually just left for good. At least with Parler my fake numbers were acceptable.
Side note: I was only on Twitter to spam commies. I follow the philosophy of building and strengthening free speech sites while pissing in and destroying left wing sites. It's my duty to ruin their safe spaces.

Although I have no skin in the game, I'll believe they got more sensitive data when I see it. Puritan Lefties love exaggeration. Hopefully not, because there's a few content creators I know are on Parler that are small fry and it'd suck if they were ruined by the mob. On the other hand, how much friendly fire do we predict from lefties that created accounts there?
IF they got the more sensitive data, I have to ask how security was so lacking that they could get admin access, create a script to continue creating admin accounts and be able to siphon off so much data.
I'd personally want to have someone who is trustworthy to look at the dump and verify what got swiped.
