That one about a guy turning in his brother is absolutely infuriating to me, because it reminds me of the idiocy that came out after the Parkland school shooting. I can't recall specifics, but I recall several of the other students saying the shooter was a weird kid, nobody talked to him, nobody liked him, etc. My immediate reaction was "and what did you do about it? Oh, wait, you all just kept ignoring him at best and bullying him at worst I bet."
And the guy is doing that same thing about his brother. A sad, lonely guy with a substance abuse problem, for whom those so-called White Supremacists were "the only thing standing in the way of a life empty of people." So, what did you do, buddy? You knew your brother was having a miserable life, you felt he had fallen in with some bad people, AND WHAT DID YOU DO? Oh, that's right, apparently nothing. Even in your high-virtue humble-brag about how you're turning your brother over to the FBI, you can't even list one thing you did to help him.
Its always someone else's job with these people. They claim to care about other people, but do jack **** to help them themselves - someone else's money or time is needed. You riot in the streets for months, burn down stores, destroy people's homes, and then say "why is there so much poverty? We must steal more money from (I'm sorry, tax) rich people more!" You can't be bothered to hold down a stable job, so you demand other people give you free money. And, here, they're all insistent on selling out their own family for Good Boy Points on the internet.
Take some damn responsibility, and if you see a situation developing do something about it instead of demanding everyone else accommodate your wishes.
Nothing ever happened when i was in school, thankfully, aside from a kid getting stabbed but i think that was gang related or just general dumbassery.
But i remember there was a kid that was prime fucking material for that shit... and his mother was a cop. Christ, i remember there was one day where he was just getting shit on relentlessly, and even the cunt of a theatre teacher was piling on until he just got up and left when she fucked off and left us to our devices. And people were joking he'd come back in with a gun and started moving towards the back of the auditorium. I tried befriending him at a play we had to watch a couple of weeks later and he was just a fucking cunt. I don't know if it was his defence mechanism or if thats why he was bullied, i just ignored him after that though. Hope the dude got out of whatever hole he was in.
And to add, i was a social outcast too, but i stuck to myself and people liked me for whatever reason, but i can go to sleep at night with a clean conscience on wherever the hell that guy wound up.
According to all the experts, long prison sentences do wonders for re-habilitation.
Cruz was already acting like a psycho before he came to that school - he was constantly being transferred between schools to try to stop him doing things like threatening other students. A bunch of kids don't have the training to talk down a budding spree shooter, and it's ridiculous that you think they had an obligation to try.
Some dailybeast article tried to smear him but I got the impression that the entire town hated him. The one clerk hated him. His own mom hated him.
It's no wonder he got so fucked up.
Or maybe they all hated him because he was fucked up.
That's a teenager, almost certainly a teenage girl that's doing it, unless 2004 is their graduation year or something.
