These are the Electors. If you can't participate. Please let me know now so I can adjust how our voting structure is set up. I haven't heard from many of you, so at least make yourself known.
I'm going to make a reply to the post for each category and their nominations, as well as links to the original posts. I want you to vote on the winner of each category as you deem fit.
I will list the nominations for each category, and the number of times it was nominated. If you would like to see the number of upvotes for each nomination, please check out the original post. You will find all the arguments and evidence there. You may vote for a completely different nomination if you so chose. As I've said before, vote your conscience.
If you do not wish to cast a specific vote for anyone, vote "abstain".
If you wish to deny an award for a category a recipient altogether, vote "drop". Some individuals have recommended dropping categories with less than 4 nominations. You may chose to do this if you wish.
Our objective is to get to a 3/4ths consensus on the winner
Please let me know if you do not intend to participate. I'll leave this thread up until about Monday when I will announce the results.
Best Music
"Best Music" & "Most Egregious Race-swapping"
counted
You're not an elector. Do you mind adding that to the Best Music thread instead of here? I need to keep everything in a semi-orderly fashion to tabulate all the votes.
I'm an elector if I want to be! Fraud! But seriously, I will remove.
Thx
I vote for Mechanicus.
counted
I will vote for Hades for best music.
The music is truly excellent.
Counted
I'll listen to these later and get back to you today.
Hurry back
I'm gonna give my vote to Monster Hunter world, TBH. Not only is it seemingly very popular, but that linked sound-track is fucking epic.

As of right now we have 7 people participating. To keep things in the same passing ratio, the agreement we need to find is 5 out of 7 votes to declare a winner. Please cast your remaining votes, vote abstain, or negotiate with each other on which you would like to see win the category
Please talk to each other to see how you would like to agree about who should be the winner.
Confirmed Winners:
Needs more votes or no one is declared:
Votes too controversial to declare winner:
u/OneTruePhilosoraptor & u/Norenia & u/MetalicBioMeat
I'm okay with moving my vote in Best Shooter from Wingman to BPM being that it's a shooter, but at the same time, we've literally got 4 votes for Wingman as it is. So, if Philosoraptor wants to change from Kyle to Wingman then the shooter category is clinched.
u/Chem did you vote on the category?
u/Impossible1 , u/Norenia , u/Antonio of Venice would all have to vote with me or u/MetalicBioMeat and still sway someone's vote if they don't vote for Hades when it comes to Best Music.
BioMeat, do you want to change your vote?
Factorio is leading in Game of the year. Looking at the rest of the confirmations, does anyone want to change votes there? If we give Hades the win in Best Music, it's going to be between Factorio and Sekiro who aren't in any other categories.
I will switch my vote to Wingman.
I could change it to Hades(music) for Factorio(gameoftheyear), that would keep the machine spirit pleased.
So you mean I change my Music vote to Hades and you change your GOTY vote to Factorio.
I can go with that if that's what you're offering.
Nah, it's a bit harder deal i'm after, I since I already voted Goty for factorio, you need somone else to trade their goty for my music vote.
Okay, you've lost me.
You want me to make someone else vote Factorio as GOTY, in order for you to vote Monster Hunter?
Yep (Or if you want Hades instead, that is also fine).
Noted:
u/TheImpossible1 , you haven't voted for GOTY yet. Would you be willing to vote Sekiro or Hades in order for Chem to vote Project Wingman for Best shooter ?
Hades.

I'm gonna give my vote to Monster Hunter world, TBH. Not only is it seemingly very popular, but that linked sound-track is fucking epic. Though, this doesn't help the fact that best music is still split.

I added Ghosts of Tsushima for Art & Visuals, Monster Hunter for best music, Yakuza for Best RPG, the Whole Year for worst gaming journalism, and Hades for Hack & Slash

Gingers Don't Have Souls Award for Most Egregious Race-Swapping
"Best Music" & "Most Egregious Race-swapping"
Well, that's an easy choice.
Yep, unless we get some last minute nomination by the electors.
u/TheImpossible1 & u/MetallicBioMeat
You are welcome to also Abstain, or Drop

I will also vote for Netflix the Witcher for most egregious race swapping.
Triss and Yennefer were so damn sexy in the games. Netflix ruined it.
counted
Agreed with the Netflix: The Witcher nomination.
Counted
Agreed, I'll vote The Witcher.

Best Platformer:
"Best Platformer" & "Most Pathetic Corporate Virtue Signal"
I'll vote Ori 2

Ori 2, I remember having a little bit of fun with the first one.

I haven't played Ori 2 myself but I played Ori 1.
I will vote for Ori 2

I abstain from this, don't have the hardware for vr.

Rainbow Yo-Noid:
"Best Platformer" & "Most Pathetic Corporate Virtue Signal"
There’s virtue signaling, and there’s encouraging violence and destruction of innocent locally-owned businesses.
“Cities can rebuild” Sony.
counted
Soyny, obviously.
MS is just ripping off suckers, Bethesda is virtue signaling but in a way that most people do not care about or support outwardly and Square is doing the same. Supporting Pride as a virtue signal barely registers now.
counted
This comment was deleted for some reason.
Yeah, I didn't intend for it to be a reply to TheImpossible1.
Oh, okay. I've seen a few of these deleted messages just kinda show up every now and again, and I was worried it was some ongoing issue.
counted
I have to vote for Soyny here.
They actually said that cities can just rebuild.
That shit is disgusting.
Soyny California degenerates are probably crying about the Capitol like the hypocrites they are.
Counted
I'd like vote Square... but since we're descending into Civil War, I'll vote Sony.

+1 for the nightmare fuel that Ana Valens has thrown our way

Even though I'd never buy a hentai VN or whatever the fuck that game is supposed to be, it has to be Top Hat.

I will vote for Tophat's based response to sjw attacks.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance. A truly magnificent game.
counted
Late arrival, but it's definitely Top Hat

Best Hack & Slash:
"Best Hack & Slash Game" & "Most Aggressive Feminist Propaganda"

Bayonetta. This is probably the only time I will say a game with a female main character isn't garbage.
counted
I will vote for Hades as best hack and slash.
Too easy for me to think I will do just one more run yet somehow end up playing for hours.
Game is super fun.
counted
Vote for Hades, as a Hack and slash its great.
counted
I loved Demon Souls, and I liked Bayonetta 2, and Age of Calamity looks okay, but I think it's okay to give it to Hades.

Gamers Are Dead award for Worst Piece of Gaming Journalism

Project Wingman was nominated for “Best Shooter”
God fucking damnit
I have to vote for the whole damn year.
Too many BLM virtue signalling pieces, TDS pieces, too many Last of Us 2 shill pieces and odd number of both egregious Cyberpunk hate and shill pieces
counted
This is year somehow is even worse than that single piece from polygon.
counted
Well, it has to be Polygon's worthless tirade about gender in a game that barely runs.
counted
No you didn't. You counted Chem.
Corrected
I forgot to vote here. I'll go with the whole year again.

Best RPG
"Best RPG" & "Degeneracy for Influence" & "Most subservient to the CCP"
Yakuza is a loved series, did something EXTREMELY different, and said title is still freaking loved. I haven’t tried it yet, but I want to give my vote to Yakuza (7); Like a Dragon.
counted
I will vote for Yakuza Like a Dragon.
They swapped genres from beat up to RPG and did an excellent job.
Gameplay is fun.
The protagonist Ichiban Kasuga is so likeable.
Game deals with some political issues in a nuanced manner.
counted
Yakuza: Like A Dragon seems to be the one that garnered more positive attention from the userbase. So, I'll go with that.
Counted
Abstain, not kept up to date with modern RPGs.
counted
I'll have to check back on this.
Do so quickly.
Zoe Quinn award for Degeneracy for Influence scam
"Best RPG" & "Degeneracy for Influence" & "Most subservient to the CCP"

I can see TheImpossible1’s point on Battlefield 5, but even that didn’t get nearly the media/award coverage that TLOU2 got. So TLOU2.
counted
I want Battlefield 5 to forever have that legacy of being the most feminist piece of shit ever made, but I think the award should be given to TLOU2.
counted
counted
The level of shit TLOU2 spawned is so egregious.
I will vote for TLOU2.

Eeh, for which category? Ghosts has been nominated repeatedly. Do you mean Best Adventure Game?
That's literally what I replied to; the Best Adventure Game category.
Sorry, I got confused with my messages. Counted.
Will follow the flow on this one and vote Ghosts of Tushima.

Tropico 6
Tropico 6, Since Frostpunk felt less natural and more forced due to it not acknowledging (at release anyway, and main scenario) if you avoid doing any extremism choice of solution, and Tropico does it with it's usual humour which is always a plus.

I fucking love Tropico and it convinced me how Leftism could never work.

Playing as El Presidente is hilarious. I will vote for Tropico 6.

Cyperpunk 2077, The hype was to much even compared to Last of Us 2 and it's results.
counted
Cyberpunk 2077, because people who bought TLOU2 were suckers who deserved exactly what they got.

Cyberpunk 2077 ended up being so substandard.
It deserves to be called the most overpriced piece of shit this year.
counted
Cyberpunk is probably the winner here.
counted
Best Shooter
"Best Shooter" & "Strongest Anti-SJW Stance" & "Worst Piece of Gaming Journalism"

Going to be a pain in the ass and go against the others since I'm not seeing a arcade flight game being the best shooter. Instead ill vote for Bullets per minute.

Project Wingman, because the Rittenhouse meme is kind of dead now everyone's calling us terrorists.

Helltaker
Spellforce 3: Fallen God
I might double check on these.
Again, do so quickly.
Spellforce 3 looks more up my alley for RPG's, and it is very pretty.
Helltaker is nice, but it's not stellar. FF7 also looks nice, but again: isn't stellar.
Ghosts of Tsushima is clearly fucking stellar looking. No question. That's my vote
I will go with Ghosts of Tsushima here.

Will go with Ghost of Tsushima.

Game of The Year
GOTY Deliberation
Fortnite : Battle RoyaleI will pick something eventually, but for now, I have no idea here.
Time to make a choice, I recommend Factorio a game that allows modding thus ensuring that you can make your own battle royal mode with bugs!
Ironically, it doesn't actually matter what I pick, because no nominee can reach 5 and gain a consensus to win the award.
Factorio has 2.
Sekiro has 1.
Hades has 1.
Right, The votes remaining are you, u/AntonioOfVenice and u/Chem, If they all vote for Factorio, which is the obvious choice of course, then it gets 5 votes which is the min to declare winner according to the updated rules, thus I can count on your support?
I am not voting because I don't know any of them.
I actually vote Factorio here, that shit is my jam. That being said, this might be hard since a lot of people really love Hades and Ghosts
Counted
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
This game didn’t have broken stat and equipment builds, so it took ACTUAL SKILL to get all the way through.
counted
I vote for Factorio.
Counted
Damn this one is really tough.
I love both Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Hades and I think both deserve GOTY imo.
If I have to pick only one, I guess I will vote for Hades since it was made by a smaller indie studio who managed to knock it out of the park.
