It sounds amazingly bad. The bad guy's bodyguard looks like that weird cat creature from the final Doctor Who season, I almost spilled my drink when it showed up in the video. 200 million well spent.
Both still look better than what they used for Cats, ironically enough.

This looks like an even bigger mess. Here's hoping Party Jenkins has no writing input on Rogue Squadron. I'll keep my fingers crossed that she's one of the many directors fired by Lucasfilm though.

This was probably the one woman-protagonised film that had a chance, considering the original was decent enough. Ah well, new artists and media will do what hollywood can't. The better it burns down the more fertile soil there is for the next generation.

To be fair, 1984 was an insanely great year for pop culture.
But yeah, any media featuring a female protagonist in 2020+ is going to be a disaster because modern day writers are leftist bugpeople who can't craft real human characters.
