In Ireland pubs and restaurants have been closed weeks; you can only order food to take away. Pretty much everything is closed bar some businesses deemed essential. They are opening restaurants and pubs that serve food for a few days over Christmas, and the plebs are acting like the government is doing them a favor. Covid has truly shown me that westerners have no spirit anymore, we don't care to fight for anything, no matter how important.
Societal fatigue, we no longer have the bastions of belief that lead to real liberalism, human rights, and the willingness to fight for liberty. The fear of losing convenience has now outweighed our convictions and now were just poking each other with sticks until a powderkeg moment happens.

Weve lived too comfortably for far too long, our golden age of science and technology has made us weak and compliant... "Good times create weak men" and all that
I think they're scared. They've seen what's happened elsewhere to business owners who refuse to bow down and may now never get their business back. Governments have made very public examples of those cases, and the media has gladly given it international coverage to help ensure nobody dares step out of line.
What they need to do IMO is organize and work together.

It's a dangerous game. People start to say, "fuck convenience" after a while, and then blowback begins to develop.

Pubs and restaurants should ignore these arbitrary rules, but I already know they won’t.
The government power grabs this past year have been absolutely ridiculous and so many people are just following along like “good” boys and girls.

So forced to go out of business then?
Our glorious future must be built on a foundation of something?
Why not make it out of the burning corpses of the innocent along with everything they love?
as is tradition.
You can't complain about the smell of burning bodies if you're wearing a face mask all the time!
taps forehead
The real reason the chinkofinkos wear them 24/7 everywhere they go?
I wonder if they have falls of what looks like snow but isn't from time to time.
Haha, it’s fun watching brits become more and more cowed. They are getting what they asked for and it’s great.
Selling alcohol... at ALL or just not after 6pm?
I mean, there's at least an appearance of rational step taking with the 6pm closing (even though it's not)
But banning alcohol sells outright makes no sense... unless you're enforcing sharia law.
Coronavirus is a mean drunk. The last thing we should do is encourage him by selling alcohol past 6 PM.
