Societal fatigue, we no longer have the bastions of belief that lead to real liberalism, human rights, and the willingness to fight for liberty. The fear of losing convenience has now outweighed our convictions and now were just poking each other with sticks until a powderkeg moment happens.

It's a dangerous game. People start to say, "fuck convenience" after a while, and then blowback begins to develop.
