yea, and then it got picked up by the transtrenders on twitter, then the journos got in on it, and now it has completely gone off the rails
This is actually a good point. As soon as you see these listed, you can completely disregard anything they say.
You do have to be careful, though. Some websites will automatically present your registered sex in the form of pronouns if you don't stop it. It's ridiculous how quickly it's become "normal."
It's ridiculous how quick the dictionary changes too, and probably about as organic.
