Did they really take him saying coyotes as a literal statement? It's always been a term to refer to the people that get paid by families to bring their children across the border. I've never heard of putting kids in literal coyotes, and it honestly wouldn't surprise if they do. The things that people do to try and sneak across the border is insane.
Though I'm assuming that whoever said that has very little knowledge about what's going on around the border. Which has been pretty much the case for majority of people that think we're the bad guys for enforcing our border and immigration laws.

However, I can understand the frustration that could lead to someone using phrases like "jogger" while not intending to be racist.
Fuck them, what about the specieism in the word "coyote" itself? I'd rather a Coyote than have to put with with any more criminal two-legged skumbums and morons.
The thing is, the trade in (usually but not always illegal) wildlife is closely linked with the drug trade, precisely because they can put the drugs either in the victim's cage, or in the victims themselves (usually surgically). This has been a thing for literally decades.
