fair enough, but is it possible somebody picked up this theory that had limited traction before and , in an effort to annoy and grief others, took it to an extreme, only to have that extreme version be picked up as the social justice that we all know and hate?
Okay, but is it possible the first "strain' of social justice if you will, the one that led to gamergate, started as an intentional troll by some assholes on the internet, just looking to rile people up for their own amusement before being picked up by ideologues and con artists looking to take advantage of other people's goodwill/guilt?
well, when you consider that sensitivity to racism was a bigger weakness in the states than class at the time, I'd say it was a tailor made modification.
Because Social Justice got entrenched in the Something Awful forums first.
just using 4chins as an example.
Lowtax did very little vetting of his mods/admins
it really was a more innocent time in many ways...
terminally online weirdoes
Hey! I resemble that remark! 😜
I'm saying is it possible that /b/ or GNAA or some other group of lovable idiots started intentionally pushing it as the world's largest poe and then it got out of hand (or not..)
Could be, but think how much bs has been accepted into mainstream view thanks to somebody bullshiting on the internet. How do we know a group of overly ambitious 4chaners on /b/ didn't look at the frankfurt school ideology, do some minor tweaking, and started using that to troll leftists on tumblr, etc?
Imagine it then slowly caught on with the tumblrinas, who, not being in on the joke, took it completely seriously.
Again, this is raw speculation on my part, but it's fascinating to think about, and it's not that far fetched...
u/C lifeboat?
look up harmful opinions and be candid. Happened a few years ago, but TJ Went off the deep end when HO exposed one of his sponsors for being worse than google
dunno, but he should make up his mind whether he wants to be American or British. I get he has an attachment to his home, but it doesn't do him, either nation, or his kids to jump back and forth like this...
pick a fucking country, you wishy-washy fog-breather...
True story, guy I used to work with likes the white gatorade, made a crack about how it looks like jizz (tell me it doesn't), and dude turned green.
I felt kinda bad until I saw him with one a few days later. I'd hate to turn someone off something they like, just cuz I made a dumb joke.
great minds...think alike?
see, now I wanna make an anime-fied trump bumper sticker just to dick with you...
huh, me too, lol.
pretty brilliant shitpost when you think about it...
gotta keep the slaves close to the plantation somehow...
...does anyone know if police horses spook easily from sudden loud noises?
Maybe not a cap pistol, but you gotta figure an airhorn right near the animal's ear might cause it to bolt...
feel bad for the animal, but yeah...
Last I heard, Google bought it outright (or was it facebook? eh, six of one...)
Thankfully, public opinion is slowly souring on such things...
That being said, we really should be developing counter-measures...
Wish they woulda listened to "revolution" a bit more, honestly...
But The Amazingly Fat Atheist is an opportunist, not a leftist.
I honestly can't tell if that's better or worse, but it's not the same is my point.
Kirk isn't a Liberal, he's an opportunist.
Look up "be candid," "amazing atheist," and "Harmful Opinions" for more information...
and when it's dead in a year, because the market it's searching for is infinitesimally niche, it'll be the fault of the Patriarchy.
Good for them actually trying to build what they want, though.
kinda wish (for you and the other sane aussies' sakes) that ya'll would embrace your inner Mick Dundee, lol.
(kidding aside, is that movie that bad? I realize that's maybe 5% of the population, but it's basically a story about an australian version of a cowboy, right?)
so you don't think some idiots on old school internet forums could have given it a 'push' just to annoy other people for their own amusement?
