I think that’s what a lot of people here understand but also aren’t willing to say out loud because it feels leftist kinda even though it isn’t.
Being wealthy is a lot more about who you networked with and the connections you can make, as even though you make those connections because of the success of your business as an example, growing said business into for example, a chain of restaurants is way easier when you know people in the industry who can help.
Again, this doesn’t apply to small business owners, but for people like Dan Gilbert, owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers and founder of Quicken Loans, Hal Steinbrenner, son of George Steinbrenner and more, they’re definitely riding their coattails on the people that came before them, albeit Dan Gilbert less so.
Yep. And yet people wanna complain about how much money athletes make when you have to remember that the owners need to have enough money to pay these athletes in the first place. The guys who are barely in the league and aren’t that good relative to their peers are way close to me and you than they are to the owners, and yet many people refuse to see it.
Tickets aren’t going to magically decrease in price just because athletes get paid less
What I don’t get is the fandom. It’s turning grown men into something more unrecognizable than fucking kpop fans.
Ehh? From hearing about things before the termination of Selen Tatsuki to now being an avid follower of vtubers since, it's weird, as I'd moreso classify the fandom of vtubers as more akin to sports teams, but even then, I don't see the vtuber fandom as being any more different to being a fan of any other streamer, like Ludwig, Moist Critikal, etc.
And it’s not even like “oh we’re getting a real glimpse at who this girl is, she’s 100% genuine and the anime avatar is just for personal reasons” - I guaran-fucking-tee these chicks, “corporate” or not, are not being honest about themselves and their lives. For the corporate ones, it’s probably written into their contracts that they can’t been seen in public with their boyfriend/husband, much less discuss their existence on stream.
If 4chan and the girls' various previous accounts didn't exist, then I'd get this point, but because the Internet never forgets, it's actually very easy to discover who many vtubers used to be (assuming they were/are previously content creators), and digging into this rabbit hole has allowed me to see that a vast majority of vtubers are genuine, or at the very least the most amount of 'faking' they're doing is simply acting as their character.
With the boyfriend/significant other point, there are vtubers, such as Nyanners, formerly of VShojo, were the entire point of her channel was that her boyfriend was also a vtuber and that a bunch of her content was with her boyfriend, but since she left VShojo, I honestly haven't seen that much of her, but that's probably because she's always done a lot of IRL/facecam streams ever since she did her face reveal.
Regardless of that, like I said to someone else earlier, it's honestly not that hard to not just find out information about who vtubers were, but to tell whether or not someone's being genuine, but a lot of that has to do with how hard people like /vt/ on 4chan investigate vtubers to begin with, and the information that comes up. Then again, 4chan's always been somewhat unhinged, there are people who track streamers' periods.
From watching the content of vtubers on and off their other accounts, more vtubers are genuine than aren't, especially in Hololive, which it was discovered (and honestly makes sense with who've they have hired over the years and their own history) that Cover filters for agreeableness/vibes when it comes to their talents, and if you don't fit, you won't even make it past the first phase of auditions. Cover doesn't want 'cat fights' and it shows.
The thing is, a large number of Vtubers’ IRL identities are known, and many of the non-corporate ones even make appearances at conventions as themselves (albeit wearing face masks), and for the most part, female vtubers are attractive women who choose to go behind the avatar of the character for whatever reason, mostly either the sake of security or being introverts otherwise
trying to extract as many resources as they can from lonely mentally ill men.
The IRL twitch girls who we know exist because Twitch's admins use Twitch as a brothel? Absolutely.
Female vtubers? Not really, unless you're saying literally playing the character is 'trying to extract resources', and even on the playing a character front, the community that watches vtubers is very good at discovering when people are being disingenuous, as you can see with the downfall of Nijisanji's English branch.
Vtubers have to put some portion of their real selves into the character, or else it just falls flat completely, as seen with various smaller vtubers and their drama that I don't post here.
Then you add on top of that this weird “management” (pimp) system and it starts to just feel like twitch thots with extra steps
What is your definition of thot streaming? Because it kinda feels like a lot of people on the site defines 'thot streaming' as basically women streaming in general. In reality, vtubing, or at least corporate vtubing anyways, is an extension of idol culture, and to summarize vtubing as a whole, it's wrestling using anime avatars.
Sana Tsukumo injured her back and it literally hurt for her to sit down to stream, so yeah. Her PL is like Ina, she's an illustrator for various gacha games. The oldest generation that still has all of its members is HoloX (HoloJP Gen 0 is weird to classify because they weren't formally a generation until a year or so ago, the first five talents just debuted individually since Cover was just experimenting for the sake of Sora back then.
One of the first big English vtubers will no longer be streaming from the 30th, but this isn't the typical graduation as apparently she will still be working in the background. One of the more unique parts of Amelia's content was that she was always the most tech savvy member of Myth, in terms of doing experimental things to aid her content, such as having a studio in her own home for 3D streams.
I'm just curious what her being in the background actually means.
Watson Amelia, a member of the VTuber group hololive English, will conclude all of her channel activities on September 30th, 2024. If people had paid attention to the Zaion Lanza situation and didn't immediately take Nijisanji's word for it, this would have been known over a year ago, but it took that long and we nearly lost Doki because of it.
On the other stuff, Twitch is being biased against Vtubers IMO because the admins aren't getting the vtubers' nudes like they do with the e-girls that stream on the platform. They hit Zen with a warning because Zen streamed with a new outfit that's a one-piece, there was another vtuber that got banned for a whole month for drinking on stream because her model is that of a loli and only got unbanned because people made a stink about it.
I at least understand why Youtube is going after clippers, as multiple channels uploading the same video over and over does take up server space, but then they should take down people who aren't the musicians who make songs as songs get uploaded hundreds if not thousands of times and are about the same length as many clips on their own.
ASMR has to be the advertisers though, although that's also super inconsistent. Some ASMR is sexual and some isn't, like the Twitch girls will blow a cucumber and call it ASMR while tapping on your microphone gets tagged; it's pathetic overall and I hate that some people get envious/angry at pixels and the people behind those pixels that easily.
one of their vTuber idols, becoming effectively the Chief Operations Officer of the branch despite just being a female model, and the whole office going matriarchal politics.
I'm not sure if Elira runs anything, but she was the one who hosted the 'black stream' that happened after the termination of Selen Tatsuki, now Dokibird where they revealed (or the higher ups told them to reveal) some information that was actually confidential and Dokibird's lawyer agreed to not speak on it, in that the hospitalization was for a suicide attempt and that that suicide attempt was her second attempt, and both attempts were a result of bullying from within Nijisanji.
Overall, the company barely supports its talents, the EN branch has talents graduating left and right and will probably be merged with the main branch within a year, and overall fucking sucks.
The entire point of Mr Morale & The Big Steppers as an album is Kendrick confessing to all of that shit, except the beating, that’s something I haven’t heard before about Whitney. Cheating, that’s literally in the album I mentioned, but I never heard accusations of him beating her until Drake fans started saying that during the beef and there’s way less evidence of that than there is for Drake being a pedo whose propped up by the industry.
All I’m waiting for at this point is an album. I wasn’t even really into modern rap until the beef happened but I just think how Drake’s numbers have died since the beef is very funny
I highly doubt that any of you all would have heard about the rap beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, but Not Like Us is a song that I’ve heard everywhere, in clubs, at sports games, in white people’s cars, his reach has gone far beyond just black people at this point.
I’m not going to try and defend rap as a genre because that’s a lost cause on this site, but I’m just going to enjoy Kendrick dancing on Drake’s grave because the fact that one of the most played songs of the year is essentially Kendrick calling Drake a pedophile 50x over is absolutely absurd
Edit: I forgot to say, the NFL literally gave Jay-Z the rights to choose who performs at the halftime show
?? Correct me if I am wrong but you consider this a prime example of corpos not being your friend?, Not the banks fucking you over? not the game industry ensuring you do not own your games? Nor the manual of trying to turn you into a fanatic and consumer rather than a customer? (this is taken over all major corpos) and so on and on.. No it is the corporation fucking over their employees that is the prime example of a corpo not being your friend?
That already gets posted here constantly, like I said before, I'm trying to post things that aren't already posted here all the time, and I do comment on those, but I don't need to post what already gets posted here.
You do not understand 5th gen warfare... and my comment in regards to that.
Ehh, trends for later? The normies will mostly consume what is front of them until it becomes horrid and rotten in which case they seek something slightly less rotten. What use is that? The gen 5 warfare is already in full use the normies are just numbers in the game.
Counter-propaganda is useful, but if you deem that it's not even worth trying to do so, I mean it's whatever, again, agree to disagree.
I've been in the middle of doing errands all day and honestly wasn't expecting any responses to that first comment, but hopefully this makes sense to you finally
That’s the worst possible pic they could’ve used for Kai Cenat that I’m not even sure when that was taken, as he definitely doesn’t look like that now
