In 1972, the large gender gap in college outcomes spurred Congress to pass Title IX, which banned sex-based discrimination in higher ed. Then, men held a 14% advantage in college enrollment. Today women hold a 18% advantage… (twitter.com)

"which banned sex-based discrimination in higher ed"

That's not what it did, it gave women special status and a bunch of privileges, explicitly, a subtle but important difference. Title IX absolutely needs to be repealed.

all "civil rights" are restrictions on particularly my white male freedom. And yes privileges for "minorities."

Gender lines are probably the widest differentiating factor among zoomers. Almost all the zoomer young women are some degree of insano but a very large number of young zoomer men are based as fuck. They're also incredibly black-pilled, down trodden and aspirationally hobbled though.

But if we can raise them up and give them back a chance to thrive, I think they might be the living generation most immune to pandering to feminist bullshit in the future.

No, like feminism, Title IX is not about equality. It's about giving women special rights. This is why both conservatives and liberals have embraced feminism as sane as normal instead of an insane cult.

Am I the only one blackpilled by the insanely high female college enrolment in the 40s and 50s? So much for the patriarchy…

Sure is strange that 30% of college students were women back when females were property and a woman couldn't so much as leave the house without a man's permission, isn't it? Almost like both of those things can't be true at the same time? But which one, I wonder? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

I suppose there's an argument that upper class women at the time went to college to find a man.

Then never entered the workforce upon graduation or dropping out.

This is still true to a degree (no pun intended).

I don't understand why that would be blackpilling.

Because the second wave feminists were indoctrinated then? That's just me spitballing

It was and is never about "helping" the "oppressed minority". It was always about communism and dissolving civilization, in this case by using force of law in an attempt to "fix" the natural differences between men and woman.

They want women in college because it turns them into state worshiping kabbalists

They want women in college because it is more people to lend student loans to, and, because the pool of college applicates is now twice the size it used to be, you need more universities, and to make the existing universities larger, to educate them all. You also need more professors to teach the classes, and more staff as administrators.

You aren't necessarily wrong, especially about the college debt thing, but how many debt free property home owners do you know?

My guess is they would counter with 'muh pay gap.'
I looked for some engagement with Richard Reeves (the graph's source). Not a lot of activity with his posts, but finally found these:

Women are so lucky. More college debt to gain lower career earning potential. Who’s gonna look out for the men now?

https://nitter.poast.org/MonicaBisha/status/1828487688174936401

Have there been long term studies, based on this new cohort, done yet to show how women are achieving economically after college compared to men? Are women out-earning men in these age groups?

This is why I support Trans Rights. Just identify as a woman. Problem solved. Go change in the women's locker room and dare them to stop you.

Note that the share of students by sex was already rapidly merging towards parity before Title IX.

It's the Sweden strategy. Force more women in under guise of gender neutral "equality", but yeet it away once women start outnumbering men and men can technically use the same rule to get in.

Diversity is always code for anti male or anti white. Always.

I would like to see a graph charting the rise in availability of bullshit victim's studies and other useless soft "science" degrees over the same time period.

I don't think fewer men are going to college than before. I think more women are going so they can bury themselves in debt to spend four years getting indoctrinated by day whle being dicked down on the cock carousel by night and coming out the other end with a diploma for it. I am guessing that the only thing that has actually changed is the increase in useless busywork degrees being cranked out of the system, mostly to women.
