Yea, I hear you. There's a great book called "Unfair" by a guy named Benforado who actually goes into detail of the mechanics of how miscarriages of justice unfold and how widespread they really are.

"conspiracy theorists" right again. Unwarranted, parsimonious theories often involve a tremendously exaggerated degree of co-incidence. That is the opposite of conspiracy. Hence, there is not necessarily a correlation between "conspiracy" in a theory and its likelihood of being correct, or more correct.
