Yea, I hear you. There's a great book called "Unfair" by a guy named Benforado who actually goes into detail of the mechanics of how miscarriages of justice unfold and how widespread they really are.
I think we're talking two different topics. My take is that these guys in the video might just be bullshiting and it's hard to say without knowing the facts of their story.
Happens all the time. Don't know about this case, but false confessions are a routine part of law.
