They did name the story everyone has heard of.
I'll listen to it tonight.
True
I'll look into that.
Pretty much described the Covid riots even down to the reasoning. Nobody saw it that way though.
I still say Mountain of Madness was better.
Fairytail Manga. It is constantly deconstructing things. At one point they are expecting a big battle with a boss that has waited a thousand years to fight. It's been dead for most of that time.
We often say history goes to the victors, but that's not quite true. Victory goes to the PR team. Egypt was terrible as an army, but even a slight win was put onto walls as the greatest maneuver ever. It's been like that for a very long time.
I remember how Art of the Deal was treated during the election. It would have given a great idea about Trump's personality and how he made decisions. They wanted evil, so it became something akin to Mein Kampf. They even compared it to the book.
Seeing as Bioshock was entirely about how wrong she was, I'd say Rand Bad is a very true theory.
That Frau needs a shave
The entire movie Idiocracy says that, but that means the redneck is winning, which can't be right.
Steve Martin makes a cameo.
Jo say, as in how an Argentine says I See.
Either way, there was an Ecuadorian who wanted to get into a baseball game. He couldn't afford it since he just moved into the US. His friend told him to climb the wall and sit at the flag stand on one side.
A little while later he and his friend meet up.
"Jose, how was the game? Did you do as I say?"
"Oh the view was amazing, and everyone made sure I could see. They played some music and had a guy sing out Jose Can You See?"
There are so many books like that.
In every conflict the enemy must be connivingly evil and a stupid coward at the same time.
The closest I can think of is Tucker and Dale vs Evil
The Mistborn series has this at points. Instead of an arduous trial, the cloak of membership is handed over at the first meeting casually.
Indiana Jones has it. He shoots a guy instead of having a big brawl. He'll lose or be tricked and that's half the movie.
There is a short story in the Dresden files about Harry Dresden complaining about fire damage in dungeons and dragons. He's a wizard that mainly uses fire in modern Chicago.
Before star Trek all the space shows were about scientists or families traveling. So a show about a military space exploration ship, and a captain that earned his position at the academy would be very different.
That explains Josei and the Pussycats
Make sure to mention you lost your pigs.
I love how they reference things but never let it be out of the universe. Bicycle Rider and Pretty Pretty are obvious references to Kamen Rider and Sailor Moon, but if you didn't know that, its still funny.
A friend is in charge of operations at a big theme park. He said the biggest rule he ever hated was masks worn by employees in the middle of the summer. This was Florida BTW.
There's a book by Alfred Haus called Our Life on Mars. He keeps editing it and saying this is the final one. Anyway, one of the characters works at a holo suite where people can go in and have sex with whoever they want. It's actually robots, and a human in a nearby room. She points out one of the uses is to help men be better in bed.
Sorry, reeling from the post about Scotland.
Good point.
